Bahman group was founded in 1952 under the title of Iran Khalij Co. Joint Stock Company with initial capital of Rls 600,000 as a transportation operator and customs clearance agent. As of 1959 the company started the assembly of Mazda three-wheel pick-up with the cargo capacity of 200 Kg upon obtaining the production license from the ministry of mines and industries. Later in 1971 the company increased its range of products to include various Mazda Pick-ups such as1000 cc Mazda pick-up with the cargo capacity of 500Kg.

In the same year the company also changed name to Mazda automobile production Co. later in 1984 1600 cc Mazda pick-up was launched and the company again changed name to Iran Vanent(pick-up) Co.

In the year 1986-1987 it launched 1800cc Mazda pick-up and upon the privatization of the company in late 1993 its field of activities was considerably developed to include various activities and products like different types of Mazda pick-up and Mazda 323 passenger car.

The decision made in the General Extraordinary Assembly of Shareholders for changing articles of association on July.19, 1999 marked a turning point in the history of company and by changing name to Bahman Group as a holding company its activities were expanded to production, commercial and finance and credit fields.

In the year 2004 Bahman Group established Bahman Diesel Co. with the goal of manufacturing different types of light, semi-heavy and heavy trucks and minibus. Thus the company entered the market for commercial vehicles by producing NPR, NKR, NQR under brand of ISUZU Japan and after a short time it established itself in the market as a leading manufacturer of such automobiles and received honors as Top Automobile Manufacturer and was selected as one of the best 26 industrial units of Iran and the 100 top companies in the country.

In 2005 Bahman Group entered the SUV market by launching the assembly line of 4X4 Pajero automobile under brand of Mitsubishi Japan and in 2006 with the goal of renovating the transportation fleet of the country Bahman Group manufactured the first series of passenger van automobiles branded as Narvan with different functions including passenger and cargo carrier as well as ambulance.

In 2007 in line with the strategy to expand its products and also to keep along with the modern technology of the world, Bahman Group launched Mazda 3 passenger car and in the same year with the goal of diversity its products the function assigning company for designing different functions for ISUZU trucks was founded.

Bahman Group in the continuation of its growing process, in 2009 successfully launched 4x2 and 4X4 CAPRA pick-up and also a minibus with the brand of ISUZU Japan called Sahar. It also launched the new Mazda 3 in 2010 as the new model simultaneously introduced to other global markets

In line with its strategic policies to ensure sustained growth and development, Bahman Group has achieved unique records in the production of various vehicles needed for the country and the region, different types of chassis, iron cast and industrial parts, motorcycle and bicycle and also carrying out various commercial and investment activities.

It is to be noted that Bahman Group is the first automobile manufacturer in Iran to receive the Green Reward from Environment Protection Organization and also IMS (Integrated Management System) Certificate from DQS Co. of Germany.
